Consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

On Friday, March 25, 2022, the Most Reverend Jeffrey J. Walsh, bishop of Gaylord, invites all Catholics to join Pope Francis and the bishops of the world in unified prayer for peace and in the consecration of Russia and of Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

“Pope Francis has invited the bishops of the whole world, along with their priests, to join him in the prayer for peace and in the consecration and entrustment of Russia and of Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary,” said Vatican spokesman, Matteo Bruni. The consecration will be pronounced by Pope Francis in St Peter's Basilica on March 25, the Solemnity of the Annunciation. This act of consecration will be performed in communion with the local Churches throughout the world, including in the Diocese of Gaylord.

Bishop Jeffrey Walsh will be celebrating Mass on Friday, March 25, at 12:00 p.m. (EST) at St. Mary Cathedral, Gaylord, and will offer the Prayer of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. All are invited to attend in person or via livestream at here.
