July 30, 2024: Last week, the Most Reverend Jeffrey Walsh received news from the Dicastery for Clergy regarding the recourse (appeal) that was made against the extinctive union of St. Rose of Lima Parish, Herron, with St. Augustine Parish, Hillman. The Dicastery, while commending the keen support of those who raised the appeal, has definitively rejected the appeal. In other words, the matter is now settled, and the suppression of St. Rose of Lima Parish, Herron, by means of extinctive union with St. Augustine Parish, Hillman, is upheld.
On Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 6:30 pm, Bishop Walsh is holding a townhall meeting at St. Augustine Parish Hall, Hillman, to pray and to discuss this matter with the parishioners from Herron and Hillman.
