Dispensation from Lenten Abstinence
Having considered the importance of the Lenten regulations regarding Friday abstinence from meat, and because of the special and festive nature of Friday, March 4, 2022, with the Installation of Bishop Jeffrey J. Walsh as the sixth bishop of the Diocese of Gaylord, I am dispensing all of those participating in the Ordination and Installation ceremonies and celebrations from the Lenten obligation of abstinence from meat on that day.
