Bishop Walsh received a thank you letter from Msgr. Peter I. Vaccari, President of CNEWA & Pontifical Mission for the generous donation of $108,102.95 from the Diocese of Gaylord to national appeal on behalf of Gaza.
This appeal was launched by His Excellency, Archbishop Timothy Broglio, President of the USCCB, who wrote, "Our Church mourns the terrible suffering of Christians and other innocent victims of violence in Gaza and surrounding areas who are struggling to survive ... "
