Adoration and Witness: A Post Eucharistic Congress
Deepen your relationship with Jesus and receive encouragement to become witnesses to the joy of the Gospel.

Bishop Walsh is hosting adoration and witness at six parishes, one in each vicariate—consisting of holy hour, Eucharistic Congress witness talks and a light social.

•    Sept. 12, 6-8 pm at Holy Childhood, Harbor Springs – North Vicariate
•    Sept. 17, 6-8 pm at St. Francis, Traverse City - West Vicariate

Baraga Days 2024 | Sept. 13 – 14
Join Bishop Walsh and other faithful from Michigan for Baraga Days 2024!
Beginning on Friday, Sept. 13 with vespers at St. Mary Cathedral in Gaylord, this event will offer the opportunity to learn more about Bishop Baraga's legacy and pray for his canonization. Activities will continue through Saturday, Sept. 14.

Walking the Red Road | 2024 Native American Conference
All are welcome to join us for a full-day conference organized by the Diocesan Native American Ministry!

When: Saturday, Oct. 5 | 9 am – 4pm
Where: Diocesan Pastoral Center
Open to the public (RSVP required)
Free to attend.

This conference invites all Native Americans in the Diocese of Gaylord to come together,  listen to the words of apology from our bishops, hear how to live as Natives and Catholics, dialog with the Church and see how we can experience reconciliation and healing. Non-natives are also invited to attend and learn more about the struggles of their Native American sisters and brothers and grow in mutual love for the gift of each other. Come, let us journey together to God on the path of understanding and prayer.

Registration required. Seating is limited. Please register by Friday, Sept. 27.

2024 Wedding Anniversary Mass | October 12
The Most Reverend Bishop Jeffrey J. Walsh cordially invites married couples celebrating milestone anniversaries of 10, 25, 50 and 60+ years in 2024 to a celebration of marriage. This special event will include Holy Mass and a blessing by Bishop Walsh, followed by a light reception in the parish hall.

Day of Education and Reflection on Catholic Social Teaching
YOU’RE INVITED! Join your fellow parishioners and delegations from parishes in the Diocese of Gaylord as we gather to learn about our Church’s rich Catholic Social Teaching and how to put it into action. We will also discuss how we, in our parishes, can use Catholic Social Teaching to improve our communities and strengthen our parishes at the same time.

Special guest, Fr. David Buersmeyer of the Archdiocese of Detroit, will present the principles of Catholic Social Teaching. A panel of parish leaders will share how Catholics are living out these principles across northern Michigan.
