Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Celebrate the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

On September 8, nine months after the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception (12/8), the Catholic Church celebrates what St. Augustine described as "an event of cosmic and historic significance."

Mary's existence and birth are inherently connected with that of Christ. Today, we rejoice— a prelude of joyous birth of the Son of God!
