The women of the St. Angela’s Circle at St. Ann Parish in Cadillac, Michigan hosted the first School Catechism Bee in 2011 at St. Ann Catholic School in Cadillac, Michigan. This event served as the impetus for establishing a diocesan-wide program for the children attending our diocesan Catholic Schools.
Schools are not required to hold competitions in all three levels, but all are expected to facilitate an Advanced Level (6th grade), school catechism bee according to the grade level configuration of their school.
Each school’s Advanced Level School Catechism Bee winner will then represent their school at the Diocesan Regional Catholic Schools Catechism Bee held annually each spring.
