Stewardship by the Book
Today’s second reading reminds us that through Christ we have been delivered from the law and become sons and daughters of God. New Years’s Day provides a perfect opportunity to ask ourselves the question: Does my life reflect my gratitude for all that my loving Father has given me.
Vocation View
Mary, the Mother of the Priest, Jesus, is especially Mother to all priests. Pray to Mary to ask her guidance in your life.
Stewardship Reflections
“Wives, be subordinate to your husbands…Husbands, love your wives…Children, obey your parents in everything…Fathers, do not provoke your children…” colossians 3:18-21
Pope Francis said that families, through their life of prayer and love, become “schools of true human growth.” Being credible witnesses of Christian love, especially that of family members, exerts the most positive influence on our children. We are all children of God, let us pray and love each other as God, Our Father, does for us.
Family Perspective by Bud Ozar
Today’s gospel says Joseph “made his home in Nazareth.” A “home” is built on the foundation of love, commitment and a shared history and is decorated with forgiveness, acceptance, rituals, discipline and mutual support. The Holy Family challenges us today: Don’t live ‘anyplace’, live at HOME!
