Bulletin Announcement for May 18-19, Pentecost Sunday

Pentecost Sunday

Today is the day we rejoice, reliving the same generous love and courage that the disciples felt upon receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit.

We receive the Holy Spirit at Baptism and become sealed with the Spirit at Confirmation—but that is just the beginning! Upon receiving and accepting this gift, we must decide what to do with it, as is unlike any gift ever given.

The Lord wants us to experience the Holy Spirit fully. There is much wisdom, courage and love that the Spirit wants to teach us. Close your eyes and imagine Jesus himself giving you this gift. Receive this gift with an open heart. Bring this good news and his mercy to everyone!
