General Summary:
This is a paid summer internship for a student photographer/videographer. We are seeking a well-rounded student who would like gain additional experience and valuable knowledge with hands-on experience by working with our Communications Team. Must be comfortable traveling to different parishes as well as working in an office environment. Able to capture compelling images and video of people, buildings, and projects in progress and after completion. Capture candid as well as posed images and video of liturgies and special events. Edit and produce high-quality and engaging photos and short videos.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participates in weekly department meetings.
- Assists in the production of graphics for both web and print materials.
- Creates website and social media content.
- Assists in digital media library archives.
- On-site event support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and inDesign) preferred.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Familiar with social media platforms; such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Must be able to work occasional weekend or evening hours with advance notice.
- Applicant must have reliable transportation and valid car insurance.
- Familiarity with Catholic liturgies and values is a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working with hands in repetitive motion.
- Requires standing, stooping, kneeling, and bending.
- Must be able to use close vision and have the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
