Starting in the 2021 school year, Grand Traverse Area Catholic Schools will welcome four religious sisters from The Dominican Sisters of Saint Cecilia (also known as the “Nashville Dominicans”). The sisters will serve as faculty throughout the GTACS school system, the first sisters to serve the schools since the early 2000s.
“The Nashville Dominicans have the reputation of being among the best teachers in the world,” says Superintendent Michael Buell. “There are hundreds of schools vying to have even one sister come and teach, and we are blessed beyond measure to be able to have four of them become part of our school family.”
