GAYLORD, MICHIGAN – The Most Reverend Jeffrey J. Walsh, bishop of the Diocese of Gaylord, has announced the following appointments effective July 1, 2024 (unless otherwise noted):
Reverend James M. Bearss – from Pastor, Holy Childhood of Jesus Parish, Harbor Springs; Holy Cross Parish, Cross Village; St. Ignatius Parish, Good Hart; St. Nicholas Parish, Larks Lake; to Pastor, Divine Mercy Parish, Manistee.
Reverend Mitchel E. Roman – from Administrator, Divine Mercy Parish, Manistee, to Pastor, Holy Childhood of Jesus Parish, Harbor Springs; Holy Cross Parish, Cross Village; St. Ignatius Parish, Good Hart; St. Nicholas Parish, Larks Lake.
Reverend David L. Deibel – from retirement, Diocese of Monterey, to Sacramental Minister, St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Mackinaw City.
Reverend William T. Livinus – from priest, Diocese of Maiduguri, Nigeria, to temporary three-month assignment of priestly ministry, Cross in the Woods National Shrine, Indian River, effective June 11, 2024.
Mr. Andrew J. Feister – to health sabbatical. Having completed his degree in Philosophy from the Pontifical College Josephinum, Andrew will remain in the seminary formation program of the Diocese of Gaylord during this hiatus from formal studies.
Mr. Mark W. Steck – accepted to the seminary formation program of the Diocese of Gaylord. Mark will attend St. John Vianney.
