Seminarian Education Fund
Thank you to all those who have supported last week’s Seminarian Education Fund special collection. Your support means that young men preparing for the priesthood will not need to worry about the cost of their tuition, room and board, and other formation expenses, which often total more than $40,000 per year. If you’ve not yet made a gift to support this year’s Seminarian Education Fund, please consider donating today at DioceseofGaylord.org/SeminarianFund or by mailing a check to the diocese. Please make checks payable to the Diocese of Gaylord (611 West North Street, Gaylord, MI 49735) and write “Seminarian Education Fund” in the memo. Thank you.

Stewardship by the Book
Elijah recognized the voice of God not in the strong and heavy wind, not in the earthquake, and not in the fire, but in a tiny whispering sound. May we find enough quiet in our clamorous world to hear His voice and discern what He is calling us to do and be.

Vocation View
Why is it that we lack real trust when God calls us? We think we may drown, or have to give up too much, or that we might fail. Facing our fears can help to strengthen our trust and faith in God.

Stewardship Reflections
Elijah recognized the voice of God not in the strong and heavy wind, not in the earthquake, and not in the fire, but in a tiny whispering sound. May we find enough quiet in our clamorous world to hear His voice and discern what He is calling us to do and be.

Family Perspective
The demands of family can be so overwhelming we feel walking on water would be easier. When Jesus was pressured, He dismissed everyone, so he could be “by himself and pray.” When overwhelmed and stressed, go to a quiet place and surrender your pressured feelings to the Lord using Peter’s prayer in today’s gospel: “Lord, save me.”
